Monk’s Cloth

100% cotton foundation cloth woven in the United States. Designed especially for punch needle and rug hooking. Soft and easy to use with the adjustable punch needle or Oxford needle.

Beige with white stripes every two inches. 24x26 threads per inch, 12 holes per inch.

Use with an embroidery hoop or frame. Due to the soft, loose weave the cloth frays easily. For small projects in hoops, we recommend pre-cut squares with overlocked edges.

Cut square with overlocked edges available in 2 standard sizes:

Small (21cm x 21cm) for 6” - 7” hoops

Medium (27cm x 27cm) for 8” - 10” hoops

Also available by the metre and half metre.
